I was a very dull student before coming to Indian American Academy. IAA taught me how to reach the top.
My husband is a car driver, and I am a tailor. My eldest son came to know of Indian American Academy and he applied and wrote the entrance test without telling us. Later, when he was selected, the IAA staff told me that this school was for people like us. We could not help him in his academics as we are illiterate. We could not buy books for him, but IAA took the whole responsibility of his studies. The school gave him books, a uniform, and shoes for free.
After joining this school, we came to know that snacks are provided everyday in addition to lunch. The IAA staff took interest in him and with tremendous follow up and close monitoring by the staff he improved in all areas. After going to Navodaya School, my son still received support from IAA. They provided him with books, a school bag and other stationary items.
He is now studying in 11th grade. My husband was involved in a car accident and although he has now recovered, he is unable to work due to his ill-health. Due to this situation I was unable to pay the tuition fee to send my younger son to school. Again, I met Vidya Madam and Rayudu Sir and I explained my situation to them.
They were so kind to help us and got my younger son admitted to their school in 1st grade. The staff treats all of the students like their own children. They help the students and train them to improve their skills academically and personally. We are blessed to have such kind people who are very much interested in the welfare of children in our community.
